Ashley Carter, DVM
Dr. Carter earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science as well as a Master of Science in Animal Science Swine Physiology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Carter holds a USDA Accreditation for health certificates.
Dr. Carter has special interests in the veterinary fields of Preventative Healthcare such as routine wellness, vaccines, and preventions; weight management; client education; health certificates; dermatology; fear free handling; and diagnostic imaging. Dr. Carter is a Fear Free Certified veterinary professional. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, the Human Animal Bond Association, and she is a new member of the Hamilton County Veterinary Medical Association. In 2018, Dr. Carter was the recipient of the Veterinary Social Work Award.
Dr. Carter’s animal family includes three cats named Sinbad, Fatso, and Leo. She will soon have an addition to the family, a mastiff/dane mix puppy! In her free time, Dr. Carter enjoys frisbee golf, canvas painting, Disney trivia, and animal visitation therapy.
