Dixie M., Receptionist/Kennel Manager
Dixie attended school in Lovejoy, Georgia. She began her career in animal care working as a dog groomer. Later, she acquired years of experience in kennel management. She joined the team at Highway 58 Animal Hospital in xxxx. You may find Dixie behind the front desk welcoming you and your pet to our facility, or she may be busy keeping the kennels running smoothly for all of our guests. Dixie lives in Chattanooga with her husband, James, her dog Bumi, and her cat Piwwow.
Lacey C., Receptionist
Lacey is a graduate of the University of Georgia. She became a member of the staff at Highway 58 Animal Hospital when she moved to the Chattanooga area in 2018. Her prior experience in veterinary care includes working at the University of Georgia veterinary teaching hospital.
Felicia D., Receptionist
Felicia is originally from Upstate, New York where she attended high school. She has worked as an assistant manager in the banking industry and for a convenience store company for a number of years. Felicia will be getting married in 2019 to her fiance, Brian. Her pet family includes a rescue dog named Ellie, and 3 cats.
Emily P., Veterinary Technician
Emily earned an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Chattanooga State Community College. She joined the staff at Highway 58 Animal Hospital in 2018 as a veterinary and surgery assistant. Emily has been working towards certification to become a licensed veterinary medical technician, a goal that she will reach in the very near future. Emily’s pet family includes a chihuahua mix named Bella, and American Pit Bull mix named Finley, and a domestic shorthair named Chloe.
Ashley W., Veterinary Technician
Ashley will be graduating from the Veterinary Technology Program at Chattanooga State Community College in the spring of 2019. She joined the staff at Highway 58 Animal Hospital in 2015 and started out as a kennel attendant. She is now working as a veterinary technician at the hospital. Ashley has always loved animals and has worked with horses since she was a teenager. She has a German Shorthaired Pointer named Beau.
Jacque D., Veterinary Technician
Jacque graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. Jacque became a member of the staff at Highway 58 Animal Hospital in 2017, working as a veterinary technician. She has additional experience with animals including 3 years working at a wildlife emergency hospital, and volunteering for organizations such as the Humane Society, Sea Turtle Hospital, and bird rehabilitation centers. Jacque lives with her husband, Mike, her 10 year old cat, Nova, and 3 year old dog named Apollo.
Karith B., Veterinary Technician
Karith is a native of Asheville, North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Central Florida. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. Karith is married and has 2 children, a house full of black cats, and a dog that is a Great Pyrenees. In her spare time, Karith loves hiking, camping, being outdoors, and seeing live music performed.
Taylor B., Veterinary Technician
Before joining the staff at Highway 58 Animal Hospital, Taylor gained experience working as a technician in the emergency room at the VCA Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals (RIVER). He also worked as a triage nurse at the McKamey Animal Center for a year. Taylor is engaged to be married and has 5 pets including Ruger, Libby, Diesel, Turbo, and Arthur.
Erin M., Veterinary Assistant
Erin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theater with an emphasis in Stage Management from the University of Evansville in Indiana. She spent 10 years traveling the country working in regional theater before switching to the animal care industry in 2015. She initially worked as a receptionist and kennel technician at Highway 58 Animal Hospital, then worked for a clinic in Florida, and one in Oregon. She is now back in Chattanooga at Highway 58 Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. Erin shares her home with her husband of 15 years.
